F. Colombo, 75 years of experience in hot forging
The company was founded in 1939 by Mr Felice Colombo. In the early years, the business focussed on the production of tools (wrenches, pliers, etc.) and later with the construction of steel mechanical components, supplying leading brands of the time of the automotive industry (Alfa Romeo and Fiat) and motorcycles industry Moto Guzzi and Moto Gilera).
The first steel hot forging machines were installed in the 50s thus integrating the production cycle of mechanical processing.
The range of manufactured products expanded and extended over the years to the sectors of agricultural machinery and textile machinery with the moulding of components made of alloyed steel. The forging of the stainless steel alloys and aluminium alloys was developed in the early 80s.
Towards the end of that decade, the first products in titanium alloys for the medical sector were produced.
Over the years, the forging of titanium alloys was extended to other sectors such as automotive, motorcycle, packaging, achieving high-quality components for very specific uses and further specializing in the production of small series.
To date the company has gained more than 25 years of experience in hot forging of titanium alloys and stainless steels, with an accurate control of both products and processes.
Nearly 80 years of our history have made it possible today to define two distinct areas of our production: the mechanical division and the medical division.We propose our services to the market with a wide and complete range that, starting with our technical department, is able to analyse the needs of customers, design and implement the most appropriate solutions to meet their demands, involving all of our production departments to create the most authentic Made in Italy products.
